    Two men charged in Westwood car theft

    WESTWOOD — Police have charged two men with the theft and burglary of a vehicle that was parked on Clinton Avenue.

    Police Chief Frank Regino said the arrests were made early Friday at around 3 a.m., when a patrolling officer spotted two men in hooded sweatshirts walking down Clinton Avenue.

    When the officer approached the men, the pace of their walking picked up before both men started to run, Regino said.

    The officer lost the men, but discovered that a car on Clinton had been ransacked and that items had been removed from the vehicle, he said. Read the rest of this entry »
